Dr. Yum specializes in adult epilepsy, which includes seizure patients who have been refractory to medications so far and would like to seek further management advice or consider surgical options. Patients who have had neurostimulation devices placed for additional seizure control (RNS, VNS) can be managed as well.
Dr. Yum is originally from Atlanta Georgia, and attended the Medical College of Georgia before completing neurology residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine in New Jersey, which was followed by two years of fellowship focused on epilepsy at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix Arizona. Afterwards she was in Denver Colorado as an assistant professor of neurology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, while seeing epilepsy patients at Denver Health Medical Center. She returned to New Jersey in 2023.
Dr. Yum holds board certifications for both Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy, and continues to dedicate her career to providing high level care to patients with seizure management needs.
